'BIO-Artist' Sydney Strahan Paints Custom Well Core-Sample Portraits
HOUSTON -- Artist Sydney Strahan (daughter of R.K. 'Dick' Strahan of STRAGO Petroleum Corp.), announces her new 'Custom Well Core-Sample Portrait' painting project based on core-sample cross-section images. Strahan discovers visually pleasing sections of a core-sample from the wells' UV photographic database, and produces a devoted custom made painting, along with custom sized giclee' prints for clients such as well investors. Her original Earth-based paintings, prints, and commissioned works make one-of-a-kind collectors' items and are extraordinarily unique additions to business lobbies, board rooms, offices and homes.
Strahan's 'Art from the Heart of the Earth' fits a new genre in the art world known as BIO-Art -- art that explores the human connection to biological systems. Using geological cross-sections as a visual point of departure, her artistic interpretation of gemstones, minerals, and earth core-sample cross-sections touch a fundamental component of natural history and reflect a primordial language from deep within the Earth that echoes modern symbology.
Sydney's new 'Custom Well Core-Sample Portrait' project co-insides with the grand opening of her Web site www.SydneyStrahan.com where visitors are welcome to explore the history and progress of her gemstone and mineral paintings, alongside her developing body of 'Custom Well Core-Sample Portraits'.
